Outdoor & Landscape Lighting in Temecula & Murrieta, CA

Call or text Eloy. (760) 703-9446

Before Hardy Electric, Eloy spent two years as a lighting technician on light poles, building signs and the troubleshooting that comes with them, so lighting the outside of a house is familiar ground. For homes in Temecula, Murrieta and the wine country he designs and installs low-voltage path lights along the walk, uplights in the olive trees and palms, sconces at the doors, and lighting under the patio cover and around the pool, all on a transformer with a timer or photocell. Spa circuits and exterior outlets for the outdoor kitchen are part of the same visit, permitted where the city requires it.

01The Work

Lighting outside the house

Landscape. Low-voltage LED path lights, well lights and spots on a transformer sized for the run, with the wire buried and the fixtures aimed after dark, not at noon. Uplighting for trees, columns and the front elevation. Step and hardscape lights set into retaining walls and planter caps. Fixtures from brands that hold up to Temecula summers and daily sprinklers, because a part you can still buy in five years matters more than a logo.

Patio, pool and spa. Sconces and downlights under the patio cover, recessed lights in the alumawood or wood ceiling, a fan and outlets for the outdoor kitchen, and lighting around the pool deck set at the clearances the code requires near water. Spa and hot tub circuits are one of the most common jobs on Eloy's books, with the disconnect, bonding and GFCI protection they require, and he handles them in the same visit as the lighting.

Controls and power. Astronomical timers and photocells so the lights track sunset through the year, or a smart transformer you run from your phone. Weatherproof exterior outlets with in-use covers, a dedicated circuit for holiday lighting on the eaves, motion floods at the side yard and garage. New exterior circuits are permitted where the city requires it, and Eloy handles the permit and inspection himself.
