Custom LED Lighting in Temecula & Murrieta, CA

Eloy spent two years as a lighting technician before he started Hardy Electric, on light poles, signs, troubleshooting and installs, and LED work is still the part of the trade he is best at. Homeowners in Temecula and Murrieta bring him an idea, sometimes a picture, and he works out how to build it clean: under-cabinet strips with the driver hidden, toe-kick and in-cabinet lighting, cove lighting on a tray ceiling, recessed layouts drawn for the room. He uses robust fixtures from well-known brands and matches the dimmer to the driver so the LEDs do not flicker at the low end.

01The Work

Where the light goes

Custom ideas, built right. Earlier this year a restaurant owner in Chula Vista brought Eloy a recessed LED strip concept for his dining room remodel. Eloy pitched a way to build it, the two of them refined it, and the finished ceiling drew a compliment from the inspector at the final. That is how most custom lighting starts: a customer shows up with something they saw, and Eloy figures out how to make it look built in rather than bolted on.

Kitchens and living spaces. Under-cabinet LED tape in aluminum channel with a diffuser, so you see a line of light and not a row of dots on the backsplash. Toe-kick strips, in-cabinet lighting behind glass fronts, pendants over the island on their own dimmer. In living rooms, cove lighting above crown molding, accent lighting in built-ins and niches, and a recessed layout drawn for how the room is used. Drivers go where you can reach them later.

Dimmers and brands. A cheap dimmer on LED strip is where flicker and buzz come from. Eloy matches the dimmer to the driver, whether standard, 0-10V or smart, and specs fixtures and drivers from established brands so a replacement part is easy to find years from now. Existing recessed cans can be swapped for LED retrofit trims in an afternoon, and one switch can be split into zones without opening the whole wall.

03How Long

A lighting package wired during a remodel follows the cabinet schedule: rough-in before drywall, trim-out after the cabinets are set. Adding under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting to a finished kitchen is usually a day or two.

04What It Costs

Priced by the design: how many zones, how many feet of strip, which dimmers. Eloy walks the space with you, draws the layout, and gives you a free estimate before any fixtures are ordered.

Quoted before the work starts. The number agreed is the number paid.
